Photovoltaic technology

1/ When the sun’s rays (photons) hit the surface of the photovoltaic modules, they transmit their energy to the electrons present in the modules’ cells, which move to create a direct electrical current, and are transformed directly into electricity.

The modules, fitted on fixed structures that are anchored to the ground, are interconnected to transport the electricity produced in this way.

2/ Located in a room, the central inverters, representing several hundred KW, transform the direct current produced by the modules into 230 volt alternating current, in sync with the distribution network.

 

3/ The energy produced in this way is injected directly via a delivery station with a transformer and incorporated into the distribution network.
