An independent developer and operator of sites to produce electricity from wind and solar energy sources, Eco Delta Développement (EDD) aims to have 300 MW in production in France and internationally by 2012.
Since it was founded in 2002, EDD has, starting off from a first patent filed by its R&D teams, successfully built up specific know-how on energy infrastructures. Today, EDD is looking to set up partnerships with local authorities and landowners, offering them the opportunity to actively contribute to the national plan to cut greenhouse gas emissions, thanks to the installation of solar or wind farms. The Group, whose project portfolio represents some 1,000 MW, has permits to build facilities with a total capacity of 100 MW in central and southern France.
EDD is benefiting from the industrial and capital backing of the Caisse des Dépôts, a public financial institution with a strong commitment to diversifying France’s energy mix, which has a 10% stake in its capital, as well as support from the French innovation agency (ANVAR). EDD’s teams, experts from the world of energy and the environment, cover all levels of projects: development, coordination, financing, principal assistance and operations.
